Alphabet (GOOGL) is in discussions to join Walmart (WMT) in its investment in India’s Flipkart, CNBC reports, citing people familiar with discussions. The report adds that while the talks are ongoing with no deals reached, a person familiar with discussions has indicated that the speculation of a $3B investment by Alphabet is likely “aggressive”.
