A tiny-home community in Oregon is renting out its beachfront space for just $650 to $750 a month.
Located in the coastal city of Waldport, the enclave boasts unique amenities such as Wi-Fi and parking at no additional cost.
Tiny Tranquility, founded in 2018, counts 43 sites.
Anyone with a trailer, tiny home or RV can set up at the park for the low monthly cost, which includes water, electricity, and sewer hookups.
The minimum stay is a month, but for those looking for something more permanent, rent is significantly reduced.
There are also three vintage trailers on site that can be rented for the short term via Airbnb.
The community features several shared spaces, including a 2,400-square-foot lodge with a laundry room, TV room, ping pong table, pool table, woodburning stove and small library.
There is also a 12,000-square-foot greenhouse, a community garden, bike racks, and storage facilities.
Tiny Tranquility touts a dog park, an outdoor grilling area, and a 600-square-foot common space with a kitchen and ocean views as well.
For now, Tiny Tranquility is full — but the land’s owner, Josh Palmer, said he is considering building another community.
“I’ve thought about doing a second park, I don’t have any particular plans at this point, but I have looked at some properties,” he said in a 2020 interview with the Tiny House Giant Journey site.
“It seems there’s a real demand for parks of this type if they’re done right.”
“I’m a minimalist at heart to begin with, so this made sense to me,” Beth Nugent, a Tiny Tranquility resident, added in a separate interview. “Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Simple.”
