The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has announced 11 exceptional designs as part of its annual Small Project Awards, now in its 15th year. Established by the Small Project Practitioners, the awards highlight those architects who work on a smaller scale and also strive to promote small-scale design.
Winners were categorized into three groups—projects with construction costs up to $150,000 (category 1), projects with construction costs up to $1.5 million (category 2), and projects under 5,000 square feet (category 3)—all demonstrating this year’s theme “renewal” in some way.
