Amazon is in talks to buy Landmark Theatres, an indie-focused chain that operates over 50 theaters in the U.S., people familiar with the matter tell Bloomberg. Landmark is currently owned by Wagner/Cuban Cos, which is backed by Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner, and has been working with Stephens Inc on a possible sale. Such a move by Amazon would mark its latest expansion into the brick-and-mortar world.
